Our Services

Comprehensive Breast
Diagnostics & Screening

We offer a full range of breast imaging services using the latest technology, all under one roof — from routine screenings to advanced diagnostic procedures.

3D Mammography

Digital breast tomosynthesis creates detailed cross‑sectional images, improving cancer detection and reducing recall rates — especially for women with dense breast tissue.

Breast MRI

Magnetic resonance imaging provides high‑resolution detail for high‑risk patients, staging known cancers, or evaluating implant integrity — when 3D mammography alone isn't enough.

Learn more

Breast Ultrasound

Sound‑wave imaging distinguishes cysts from solid masses and guides biopsies — an essential tool for characterizing findings seen on mammography or for evaluating palpable concerns.

Learn more

Breast Biopsy

When imaging reveals something that needs closer look, we perform minimally invasive, image‑guided biopsies — including stereotactic, ultrasound‑guided, and MRI‑guided procedures.

Learn more

High-Risk Screening

Personalized surveillance programs for women with genetic predispositions, strong family history, or prior chest radiation — combining mammography, ultrasound, and MRI as appropriate.

Learn more

Diagnostic Consultation

Follow-up visits to discuss imaging results in plain language, review next steps, and coordinate with your referring provider — because understanding your results should never feel confusing.

About Us

A Center Built Around Your Comfort

Breast Diagnostic Center was founded on a simple conviction: women deserve a place where advanced medical technology meets genuine compassion. Located in Aurora, Colorado, our facility is purpose‑built for breast imaging — not a general radiology suite sharing space with other departments.

Every member of our team understands that a breast imaging visit can feel stressful. That's why we've designed our space to feel calm and welcoming, trained our staff to treat you with patience and respect, and invested in the latest imaging equipment so you receive the most accurate results possible.

Dedicated breast imaging facility

Everything designed specifically for breast care — no shared equipment or crowded waiting areas.

Board-certified radiologists

Our interpreting physicians specialize exclusively in breast imaging with years of focused experience.

Results you can understand

We communicate findings clearly and promptly, and we're always available to walk through what they mean.

Technology

Invested in the Best Tools

Our technology decisions are guided by one question: does this help us give you more accurate results with greater comfort? Here's what sets our facility apart.

3D Tomosynthesis

Takes dozens of thin-slice images for a 3D reconstruction, revealing abnormalities that 2D mammography can miss.

Low-Dose MRI

High-field MRI with contrast for detailed soft-tissue evaluation — used selectively for high-risk screening and problem-solving.

Stereo-Guided Biopsy

Precise, minimally invasive tissue sampling using dual-angle X‑ray guidance — performed in-office with local anesthesia.

ACR Accreditation

Our facility meets the rigorous quality standards set by the American College of Radiology — a mark of safety and excellence.

Preparing for Your Visit

We want your visit to go smoothly. Here's what you should know before you arrive.

1

Before Your Appointment

  • Don't apply deodorant, powder, or lotion to your chest or underarms on the day of your mammogram.
  • Wear a two-piece outfit so you only need to remove your top.
  • Bring any prior imaging records if you've had mammograms elsewhere.
  • Let us know if you're pregnant or could be pregnant.
2

Insurance & Payment

  • We accept most major insurance plans. Call us to verify your coverage before your visit.
  • Self-pay and cash-pay options are available — ask about our pricing at check-in.
  • We'll provide a cost estimate whenever possible so there are no surprises.
3

After Your Exam

  • Results are sent to your referring provider within 24–48 hours for most exams.
  • You'll receive a letter with a summary of your results as well.
  • If a result needs follow-up, we'll contact you promptly to discuss next steps.
  • Biopsy results typically take 3–5 business days.

When Was Your Last Mammogram?

Early detection saves lives. If it's been a year or more, or if you've never had a screening, we're here to help you get started.
